Just got an email from admissions an hour ago informing me that I was denied from the waitlist because of how many people committed to the school, was anyone accepted?

Mine still says waitlisted, however, my friend last night also got an email saying there are spots at a regional campus or something like that. She was surprised she got the email because she was sure she didnāt even put herself on the waitlist and didnāt want to even be considered anymore. Not sure what any of this means as I never received an email like that.
I am beyond disappointed with OSUā¦
Submitted my application early October with the following stats:
COS, OOS F
GPA: 3.7 UW 4.10 W
SAT: 1350 (690 R, 660 M)
Very involved in school and community, Vice President of 2 clubs, part of NHS and Rotary, also a committee member for school.
I was originally deferred, so I sent my mid year report ( I received a 3.85 UW) and thought ok I have a good chance considering Iāve heard of kids with 3.5ās getting in, nope! After waiting 7 months I finally found out that I am rejected from the main campus, and encouraged to attend the Lima campus:)
My essays were well written and my references were strong.
Iāll happily be attending a different BIG10 school with scholarships in the fall!!
although deferred, then waitlisted, OSU is still my dream school. If going to a regional campus is my only way in, then I will take it. 1 year at a regional and you get to head to main campus, plus itās cheaper! I am sorry you feel disappointed, I am as well. I thought for sure they would snatch me up, but they overlooked me for reasons I am sure I will never know, so itās time to make my own way and do what I need to do to be a buckeye.
So you found out you were rejected off the waitlist? I still have not heard anything. @bjc735
My portal said I was rejected maybe around 5-6pm yesterday and I received an email around 1am

last year a lot of people heard back may 7th. I donāt know anyone who has been accepted off the waitlist yet.
I wonder is It random picked, by order of accepting the wait offer, or they went through everyoneās qualifications again. Hmmm. Or maybe no one will be accepted from it. Who knows

So I emailed admissions and got the response that earlier this month they have sent of denials from the waitlist, however, I wasnāt one of those to receive a denial. They said my application is still under review and desision will be released by June 1st. So hopefully any day now. Iām thinking that if you havenāt been denied yet then thereās a good chance of still getting in! Taking forever though
That makes me feel so happy, haha. My status is still on waitlistā¦

I was told, the only applicants left on the wait list, after the emails sent Friday, are Ohio Residents
I was also told that they look back at your qualifications and the waitlist is still competitive.
Where are yāall getting this information from?
