Conversation seems to have gone on a tangent about other schools and their political bent. In order to not confuse the OP, I will once again state that WI is slightly Left of Center, but is not known as a hotbed of political discourse. They are far more concerned with their sports teams, parties, and academics, not necessarily in that order.
