Dear appzilla : Let’s put it this way - Boston will be an amazing experience … and not the experience you need to live on this trip. You will have about 24 hours “in town” and you have to do everything to learn more about Boston College.

My advice in addition to the tours and such :

[1] Experience a meal in the Lower Live Commons.
[2] Walk from middle campus to upper campus and walk around those dorms, the home to 60% of freshmen.
[3] Board the BC Bus and make your way over to the Newton Campus where 40% of freshmen are housed. Have a meal or snack at Stewart Dining Hall.
[4] Tour Gasson Hall and the O’Neill Plaza no matter how cold the area - a walk through Gasson will help you understand more about Boston College.
[5] See if you can get tickets to the Maine Hockey game if you are in town. You want to understand the Division I sports scene and the student sections? No better way to achieve just that.

Learn about the campus and the students - Boston will still be there.
