Admitted Students Day

at just about any school, admitted student day is going to be the school putting forward their best to convince the admitted students to come – there’ll be enthusiastic students and faculty members. there will probably flowers that aren’t usually there. it is a sales pitch – more so than even the regular admissions tour and info session – but the opportunities are there to see a lot.

my student was admitted ED so we didn’t go – but we knew other students who did, had a great time and paid their deposit that very day.

if you visit on a weekend you will be less likely to be able to speak with faculty members, sit in on classes or in general just see what the place is like on a class day. college campuses in general can be pretty quiet places on the weekend.
admitted students day won’t be a “typical” day because it will be admitted students day  – but you’ll probably see more than you would on a weekend.
of course if you can’t go to admitted students day, a weekend visit is better than no visit.
