It went very well…I am 95% sure I will be attending UMD. The only thing was when we went to sign in the lines where long since it was broken down into last names and the lines were in leading all over the place with no direction. So some people where getting a little annoyed. Then we all sat inside where we were separated into the school you were admitted to…so look at which section your sitting in so when they disperse you will be with the right people. they served some muffins coffee and OJ…they talked for a little while about what the day was going to be and then we were taken by ambassadors to another meeting area for our college…mine was engineering. so all the engineers met in one big room where we had a speech and where able to ask a few questions…then we were off again to our department meeting rooms, such as computer/electrical engineering and so on…this is where its a smaller class and we heard from the Dean, advisers, professors and some students where you could ask additional questions. We were very impressed with their presentations. They also reviewed the course curriculum that we would take for the next four years. After that we went back to the Stamp union center to eat and get any information from other departments. There are tables from Admissions, Reslife, studyabroad, all the colleges had a table. This is were we saw a few people sign up for the school and they seemed to make a big deal and announce it to the audience. Then at 1 you were given 2 options of additional tour. we took the buoyancy one which was pretty cool. They showed you how they research weightlessness using the tank of water, they had another tour involving Fire. The last thing at 2 was sitting in for a University Honors session. we thought we were going to tour the dorms but you just sit and ask questions with students and Mr. Dorland. It ended around 3.
