<p>Congratulations on your acceptance!</p>
<p>It is not necessary to attend the April events --they are for campus tours & info sessions, including an overnight, probably more important for RD students who are trying to make a choice than for admitted students. Nothing essential happens there. </p>
<p>At the end of May and during June, there are advising sessions that are held in New York and also in various parts of the country – for example, there were sessions in San Francisco & Los Angeles. You get a lot of help with making fall course selections there, so I’d definitely recommend attending one if at all possible – but even that is not required.</p>
<p>So basically, if finances are an issue, you can save your money – no need to spend it it on unnecessary travel expenses.</p>
