Admittied- question about 7th semester grades!

Well I spoke with an admissions director, regarding my exact situation (possibility of a Trustee scholarship), and when I asked him if I should (or must) send my semester grades, he said:

"I would recommend that you submit your midterm grades to us as any information will help us going forward. It will not affect the current scholarship you have received. "

The way he phrased it, he makes it sound optional. There is a certain point where sending the grades would hurt me. (as in, if I got 60’s and 70’s in every class, it’s better just not to send it if I want a higher chance of getting the scholarship).

So I really don’t think we’re required to send the grades, just the ones in June and proof of graduation.

What I’m asking, though, is whether it is better to send in lower grades (about 0.5 GPA points lower than the GPA I applied with), than to just not send them at all, if I want to maximize my chances of being considered for the Trustee scholarship.
