<p>Kate, I’m afraid I’m not familiar with NB universities, so I don’t know how they come to the financial aid decisions that they do. I will ask, though, if you have applied for student loans through the provincial government:</p>

<p>If not, then you should begin that process ASAP.</p>
<p>I think that any student who feels that they have been unfairly treated in this crazy financial aid process should, indeed, find out what is necessary to file an appeal. In my opinion, you should include as much information as possible so that an accurate picture is presented. You’re not making excuses, you’re supplying information necessary for this to happen.
