I have seen people turn rejection letter into conditional acceptances: this is where they will accept you if you can do something before the fall semester like additional community service- or even contribute while in school like leadership roles or sports. </p>

<p>Basically an application is so short that you don’t the chance to express everything about you. A one-on-one meeting will give them the chance to fill in the gaps where they thought you were lacking, and for you to make a case that you can be what they are looking for.</p>
