Advice on airplane tickets and mile-rewards?

<p>When flying from San Jose to Boston (which was only done for a special occasion or two)…DD used JetBlue…which she says was the best. I know nothing about their FF program. DD had American and Southwest.</p>

<p>I have SW and USAir. I will say, on USAir, there are NOT that many 25,000 round trip tickets anymore. That used to be the amount for ANY roundtrip ticket. Now it’s not.</p>

<p>Silverlady; thanks for the tip ref AA and getting mileage for dining. I did not know that. United has that program but I wasn’t aware AA did.</p>

<p>I am finding that it is now somewhat easier to redeem mileage with AA as well as get more decently priced flights; perhaps because of Chapter 11.</p>
