Because it is so remote, there will be a lot of travel time to meets. Look at the current schedule to see how many weekends that will be for her. It really does make a difference.
My daughter was an athlete. The sport was new to the school and the coach set up a travel schedule the first year that was brutal. Ten hour bus rides three weekends in a row, in April right before finals. She was exhausted. The next year the coach realized they were in Florida and many teams were willing to travel to them. For the final two years, they took one bus trip the first weekend of the season (in Feb) and that was it - they played 11 home games and the other 5 games were in conference so most 1-2 hours away.
But look at the current schedule so she can assess what will be expected for travel.
