You should definitely send everything that is requested. While it may not help to explain about the house, it won’t hurt. Do your parents have a home now, or do they need to buy one in order to have a place to live? If they don’t currently have a home, the purchase may be looked on differently than if they are just moving up in the housing world. I assume the Qatar foundation grants interest free loans to give an option consistent with Sharia law. It may be that buying a house with cash will not be looked upon as unfavorably if it is necessary (the family does not currently have its own home) and if your family is Muslim (purchasing the needed home with cash to avoid borrowing). This may be off base, but I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt …

kelsmom,

My parents, me and my siblings currently live with my father’s brother and his family in a home which was bought by my grandmother/grandfather 20-30 years ago. We used to live in a joint family system, but all of us are now parting ways. We would move into a home of similar size, hopefully.

My family’s income is pretty low ($22,000), as of now, but my parent’s case falls under the classic low income, high (inherited) assets category. :/

It would be good to have your parent explain all of this in a signed statement sent with the bank statement. Again, while it might not help, it can’t hurt.

When does.one apply for aid at qatar foundation,?
