<p>The posters aren’t hanging AT the event, they are hanging at the school with a flyer about ticket sales FOR the event. Even I could anticipate the disconnect in hanging them at a party. And while I appreciate, I really do, the emotion attached, I don’t agree that an image of the city as it once was can’t be appreciated and loved for all it represents and used as an example of all that is glamorous and ritzy. </p>
<p>nysmile, I am so very sorry for your losses. My husband works in defense and they sent everyone home because they were afraid they’d be next and I still remember running across the front yard when his car pulled in. I think we can all agree that it was a terrible day.</p>
<p>romanigypsyeyes: My point was that one can find many inexpensive options for NYC posters—Broadway, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Yankee Stadium, etc. The financial cost of taking down two posters and purchasing two new posters is not significant. </p>
<p>My opinion is that other picture posters would be a better choice. It’s OK if people disagree with me.</p>
<p>This is the biggest non-issue in the world… you should tell the teacher to shove it.</p>
<p>That’s how the city was. American ingenuity, sweat, and blood went into building those towers are they were an icon around the world. You cannot just delete them from the history of the world because some idiots decided to fly planes into them. They are a point of American pride and synonymous with one of the best cities in the world.</p>
<p>I don’t understand why people feel the need to get offended over anything that they can find. It’s like people go looking for something to be angry about. Want to be angry? Be angry at the ****<strong><em>s that flew the planes into them. And every time you read an article about another terrorist getting shot with a drone, sit back and take comfort in the fact that those b</em></strong>**ds deserve every bomb they are getting.</p>
<p>Those are my thoughts… from someone who walks by pictures of every single person that died that day when I go to work.</p>
