Hi Marcia,
Sorry I didn’t see your post earlier. The year is going well for my son. He is really happy. Of course he’s home now - I’m so happy to see him. He likes his courses, likes his dorm (Crawford!); life is good. He has made even more new friends this year. (Remember that from college - how every year you sort of had a slightly different group as kids moved around?) He’s hanging around with many of the international kids and really liking that a lot. Unfortunately, his roommate (who he really likes - so do I) is still struggling academically and will be leaving in December. Denison gave him a second chance this semester and he’s just not rising to the occasion.

He got asked to be a research intern this summer - so he’ll be on campus for 10 weeks over the summer. But it’s a great opportunity and I really think he should do it. He gets paid and gets a free room. I’ll just miss him.

We are going to try to make a visit in April for an orchestra concert. We’ve never heard any of the music ensembles he’s in. I sure wish they’d play for parent weekend, but they don’t.

That’s funny - we’ve looked at the real estate in Granville too. It’s EXPENSIVE! If you get a chance walk some of the side streets some day. We walked up the bike path from the B&B we stay at and it dumped us into a neighborhood behind the Buxton Inn there. That was really fun.

Last time we were there was the first time we really went to Easton Center. Wow. I’ve never seen anything like that before.

We are in the “thick of it” searching for a college for son #2. I sure wish he could find a “Denison” that would suit him, but he’s looking at engineering, and so far nothing seems as great as Denison that we can afford.

I’m gald to hear your daughter’s having fun. Good luck.
