Aer Lingus?

@momsquad - the major Canadian airports also have American customs in them. Other international airports have applied for this, I remember Stockholm was one.

For those of us who usually have to connect between NY, Newark, Atlanta, etc., for an international flight, it is really nice to not have to go out through security, repack your duty free liquor, and go through security again!

Shannon airport has US customs as well as Dublin. And some glorious sweaters. And “Writer’s Tears” Irish whiskey, which you can’t get in the US.

Thank you for the shopping suggestions @greenwitch; “Writer’s Tears” whisky will be a perfect gift for someone I know.

I remember that SNL skit from a few months ago and was puzzled by all of the dogs. Was there a news story about Aer Lingus and dogs?

Pre-clearance is only available if you have a direct flight from Ireland to US.

I agree. Had a great experience on Aer Lingus as did my daughter and her boyfriend on our recommendation. We both had trips to Paris with a stop in Dublin. Easy airport to negotiate the gate change and outstanding to clear customs there before landing in NY through the Jet Blue terminal, great to avoid International Arrivals terminal.

I’ve just booked a flight on Aer Lingus from my regional airport to Dublin - so excited not to have to drive into NY! And the price was pretty good, too.
