Hey There, I’m a student ambassador here at Bingahmton and I also happen to be African American. As far as the AA culture on campus there are a lot of opportunities. There’s several frats and sororities around campus that may choose to join (one of my friends just pledged and got in!). There’s also several other social and professional organizations around campus like the Bert Mitchell Minority Management Organization, The Black Student Union, Binghamton University Association for Mixed Students and many more. Often on the weekends the frats throw parties as well as on campus events for minorities. One of the main reasons I chose to go to Binghamton was because I was looking for a place that had a diverse student body but also allowed for me to interact with more minorities on a daily basis.
