And at the Esplanade, people camped out a day or two before bringing food and blankets in bags and backpacks. Are they going to ban that this year at 4th of July? How are they going to deal with security in lights of this event? Maybe they will have a ton of dog sniffing bombs but that is going to be a difficult situation for the police and the city.

I don’t think they let people camp overnight. But people do start showing up at the crack of dawn.

I heard on the radio that the Boston authorities are going to NY to study what NY does for security at large public events like New Year’s Eve in Times Square.

I would guess they will barricade the Esplanade and have three or four entry points where they can do backpack inspections.

[What Made the Boston Bombers Do It - The Daily Beast](<a href=“What Made the Boston Bombers Do It”>What Made the Boston Bombers Do It)

The ability to carry out such a monstrous act in cold blood, and to walk away calmly from the scene of destruction while others fled, shows both a patent lack of fear and a callous disregard for others. We do not know the heart rates of the Tsarnaev brothers, but their fearlessness parallels that of the Unabomber and psychopathic killers. Were there not reflections of a deceptive, stimulation-seeking, and coldblooded psychopathic personality in Dzhokhar? He wanted to party in New York after the bombings, and he went back to college as if nothing had happened. His post-bombing tweets of “stay safe” hints of sham concern for others, while “I’m a stress free kind of guy” appears to self-endorse his fearlessness.

Yes, evil is an evil is an evil, no other explanation is needed, there is NO deep understanding of “poor, tormented” soul, we are going to cry for the terrorist? Better save our tears for his victims. I bet there is a chance for him to walk free. Many of them are let go after our soldiers have risked their lives catching them. All these for absolutely nothing…they are laughing their heads off, celebrating on the streets. Evil has prevailed…

^calm down Miami.

not sure if you were responding to my post, but if you were, I certainly wasn’t in any way implying we should understand or cry for the bomber. if you read my posts you would see that. but understanding what his thinking was can help in identifying others who may present in similar ways.

there is no way he will walk free, he has confessed to the bombings and he is in jail.

I don’t see any chance of Tsarnaev walking free. The evidence against him is very strong, if what the police are saying is true. Even those who believe that he was framed would have to deal with Danny’s story, which includes confessions of multiple crimes.

I think that the lawyers are focusing on avoiding the death penalty.

No way he’s walking free, ever.

Latest from the Daily Mail (they seem to get info early; not sure if it’s accurate) is that the DNA found on the bomb(s?) is NOT from bomber’s wife. And now she has apparently stopped cooperating with the FBI/police. ? I also read that the authorities are doubting that she knew nothing about the bombing scheme.

The house was very cluttered, and didn’t I read that there was no evidence of a toddler’s presence?

He probably doesn’t want to.

I read that the bombs were made in the apartment which bomber 1, and his wife and child lived in. how could she know nothing?

"What continues to puzzle the FBI about Russell is what she knew and when, if anything, Miller said. “What they really want to know from her is, you know, here’s a woman who dated Tamerlan, who converted to Islam after they were married, who … lived in the same apartment – not a big apartment – where bombs were being constructed and pressure cookers were being bought two or three at a time,” Miller said. “They want to know, ‘Is it possible all of this was going on concealed from you or did you know it the whole time?’”

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57582720/bombing-suspects-wife-dna-doesnt-match-bomb-evidence-investigators-skeptical-about-katherine-russells-story/

I have a hard time believing she didn’t know if she was living full-time in that apartment.

More problems for bomber 1 or, should I say, his corpse:

[Grave problem: Cemeteries want nothing to do with Boston Marathon bomber | Fox News](Grave problem: Cemeteries want nothing to do with Boston Marathon bomber | Fox News)

Maybe he should follow OBL.

A funeral home in Worcester already agreed to take the body. People are protesting there though.

As I recall muslims have to be buried within 24 hours of death and cannot be cremated. Fortunately the 24 hours has passed. They should cremate the body of bomber1.

I thought the body went to a funeral home in North Attleboro?

BTW, the authorities conducted a massive search in Dartmouth and New Bedford today. http://www.southcoasttoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130503/NEWS/130509983

Seems as if they are still searching for something.

Update: Body was moved from North Attleboro to Worcester, according to Boston.com

^^24 hours being passed doesn’t mean that the body is allowed to be cremated.

But I don’t think anyone is too concerned, or really should be, with showing consideration to a terrorist’s beliefs about his funeral.

who is responsible for burying his body? His parents aren’t here, his wife didn’t want the responsibility? who should be honoring his “beliefs” and why would we assume he would follow Muslim burial rituals, was he really following the religion?? according to several Boston Imams they didn’t think so given his bombing and shooting innocent people.

I am very happy to hear that none of the Boston Imans will have anything to do with any funeral service for this terrorist. It will be interesting to watch this game of hot potato. Perhaps he should join OBL at the bottom of the ocean.

From what was reported, Russell worked a lot of hours. It should be easy to verify how much time she worked, and if she was at that apartment much at all. It certainly did not look like a mother and child lived there from the photos I saw. She does have 5th amendment rights and doesn’t have to share any info that her late husband imparted to her as they were legally married. She has counsel and I am sure they are watching ot for her rights. According to one report I read, there has not been a match between her DNA/prints and anything on the bombs and whatever else that the authorities have.

THis reminds me in some ways of the 60s and 70s when students were protesting the war and a number of things. Didn’t Bill Ayers get involved in some bombings? I remember a number of groups like the Weathermen and SDS.

This is absolutely UNREAL…one of the Kazak friends of Johar was able to enter the US AFTER his student visa was ended (because he had flunked out.) This is DEFINITELY a Homeland Security issue, not a UMass-D issue.

[BBC News - US tightens student visa rules after Boston bombing](US tightens student visa rules after Boston bombing - BBC News)

The two friends were also evicted from their apartment for non-payment of rent.

It’s clear that Johar was going to be dismissed at the end of the semester. He owed UMass-D $20,000. If the NY Times is correct, he was also flunking out academically.

Maybe his brother was able to “recruit” him when it became evident to him that his academic career was over.
