<p>You will find e-mail links for three Bulgarian students currently enrolled at Swarthmore. International admissions is such a different playing field that they can probably give you more insight than any of us can.</p>
<p>BTW, you don’t say if you are applying this month or next year. If it’s next year, you might wait 'til mid January to contact these students. Exams start this week at Swarthmore, so students are preoccupied. Then winter break starts until after New Years. On the other hand, if you live in any of their home towns, it’s possible you could meet them for lunch if they are home winter break.</p>
<p>You certainly have “the stats” to be a legitimate candidate and your volunteer work would be attractive to Swarthmore. I just don’t feel qualified to offer any opinion on odds or finanical aid for international students, except that most Swarthmore international students do receive some finanical aid.</p>
