Aging and Sleep Disorders

Ozlo Sleepbuds. I can’t fall asleep without listening to a podcast or audio book to shut my brain off. But, 1) airpods hurt my ears, especially when I try to turn on my side, and 2) I wake up multiple times in the night and need to restart my audio book, which leads to terrible, interrupted sleep. The sleepbuds are designed to be comfortable even when side-sleeping, and they allow you to start off listening to your audio book, and then detect when you’ve fallen asleep. At that point, they switch over to your pre-selected “sleep sound” (rainforest, ocean waves, etc.). They have multiple sounds from which you can choose. Now I fall asleep to my audiobook, and when I wake up, I hear the “rainy nook” sleep sound and am able to fall right back asleep. Game changer for me.

I’ve never heard of these. DH has sleep issues, and I’m thinking I might gift him with a pair for his upcoming birthday. He uses earplugs, and I bought him an ergonomic cervical pillow a few months ago, and those help but not entirely. The sleepbuds are expensive, though, so I’m wondering if anyone else who has trouble sleeping/staying asleep has thoughts about them.
