Alumni interviews?

thanks :slight_smile:
i hope your interview went well beth!!

good luck to you, too, Victoria! :)

Thanks Victoria :)

we REALLY need to just make a post entitled “GOOD LUCK” and issue some sort of blanket thank you to everyone who has an interview :p

tru that.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY

i just got back from my interview and it went really well yay!!! we had sushi and talked about a whole bunch of stuff, but it was really casual and fun. i really hope a positive interview report will push me over the top hahaha. im practially giddy, it went so well.

good job! yay I’m so happy for you guys! :)

that’s awesome, victoria

but you? giddy? i simply can’t imagine that

i know , it happens so seldomly, haha

Can you believe it? My interviewer said something like “can I get coffee” and I said “sure, anything” and he came back with one cup of coffee - for himself. And the whole interview was like a “tell me about your interests” and “tell me about your achievements” and “tell me about your personality”. Except for the last bit, it’s all in my application, and for the last bit, isn’t that something the interviewer is supposed to glean from his conversation with you, not something you tell him? He took down every word I said. I got the overall impression that it wasn’t quite the way an alumni interview was supposed to go but, oh well, I just hope he doesn’t read this.

my alum told me he used to carry a notepad and take notes on what the interviewee said but he stopped doing that because he said it made him feel distanced and old.
wmgan, sorry your interview didnt go as well as you would have liked, but i hope you get a really positive report. Perhaps he was testing you to see how you reacted to him? all the best ~

Thanks. =)
