Okay. Here’s the story:

I went to see my guidance counselor, who called our regional admissions counselor. He informed my GC that I had applied REGULAR DECISION and was in that applicant pool. I was positive that I applied Early, and pointed out on my application how it says “LesOs is applying Early as a freshman,” and the admissions counselor realized that someone input the data incorrectly at some point, and that I was in the RD pool.

At first, it seemed as though nothing could be done, and I would have to wait until RD notifications were sent out, because the EA decisions were already mailed + decided. They hadn’t even READ my application yet. The admissions counselor told my GC that the dean of admissions was coming later, though, and he would see what he could do.

So, my GC sent me off to lunch + band + French, and I freaked out. During lunch, I just sat in the band library with three of my closest friends and sat in the corner, sulking. Luckily, a really attractive drummer came and hung out with my friends and I during band, so my mood increased slightly. =P

About five minutes into French, my GC called me out of French. It ends up that when the dean came, he decided to take my application out of the RD pile and make a decision on it. So, he told my GC that “a decision was made,” but couldn’t tell my GC because it had to stay “confidential” (like I really cared… I only wanted to know my decision! Haha). They mailed the letter either today or yesterday, and now I just have to wait.

My overall thoughts: OF COURSE something like that would happen to me.
And: The same thing happened to me, Outinguam.
