Am I the only one not enamored with LAC's?

3,500 would be a fairly large LAC. Of the LACs that I randomly checked (Williams, Swarthmore, Pomona, Amherst, Middlebury, Bowdoin, Wesleyan, Haverford, Grinnel, Vassar, Oberlin, Reed, Wellesley, Barnard, Smith, Bryn Mawr), only Smith and Wesleyan exceed 3,000, and most are around 2,000 or even smaller. So the size difference is significant, especially when the setting is also remote.

<p>Fine, don’t get hung up on the 3,500 - I’m thinking conceptually. Nothing about an LAC requires it to be in a remote setting. My daughter and son attend a top LAC and a top university respectively; both are in suburbs of major cities.</p>
