I mean Stanford’s engineering department is huge. Duke’s is small, hence they don’t have a huge research output like Stanford does.
Duke doesn’t want to offer majors like “Aeronautical E” or “Chemical E” because Duke knows its not going to do well in that.
Duke does well in whatever it does. Top class. </p>
<p>I think its not smart to compare two completely different engineering departments.</p>
<p>In this respect of engineering, Duke and Stanford are different. How about med, business, and law?</p>
