America's 25 Douchiest Colleges

Virginia U is way more ******y than Duke.

lol. Duke is by far the most douchie school out there.
Duke is listed in every honorable mention section underneath each school.

**Honorable-mention limousine-liberal institutions: **Duke, Reed, Oberlin, Wesleyan, Bard, RISD.
Honorable-mention blue-blazer institutions: Duke, William & Mary, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Sewanee
Honorable-mention excessive-school-pride institutions: Duke, Michigan, Texas, Penn State, Yeshiva University.
**Honorable-mention crazily expensive institutions: **Duke, Tulane, Bennington, Hamilton.
Honorable-mention “show us your tits!” institutions: Duke, any state school in Florida or Arizona, U. of Delaware, Dartmouth.
Honorable-mention kind-bud institutions: Duke, University of Vermont, all schools surrounded by forests with furry goblins in them.
Honorable-mention eating-club institutions: A basketball school in Durham, a university in New Haven, a college in Cambridge.

Duke is the O.D., or the “Original Do uche.”

“Duke is by far the most douchie school out there.”

+1

The authors mentioned that in their methodology.

First we think about people who annoy us or whom we’re just really, really threatened by. Then we write down what colleges they went to. And if we don’t know, we say, like: “That guy seems like he went to Princeton, don’t you think?” Then we make up rankings for the colleges, order Thai food, and add Duke to every category. Sorry!

Chicago and Princeton seem underranked to me. Also, where is Georgetown?

^Remember, Duke can’t be ranked number one in anything. :P

This person must be: 1) a CCer, 2) a Tar Heel, or 3) both.

UCLA should definitely have replaced UT-Austin for the “IDK why it’s a douchie school” douchie school. Cuz I’m a BCer, Notre Dame and BU should be higher on the list. Wasilla should not have been on that list b/c Palin attended U Idaho.

PS Palin’s children have weird names.

Dartmouth gets “Honorable Mention” as a “Show Us Your **** Institution” at #14

An unnamed “university in New Haven” gets “Honorable Mention” as an “Eating Club Institution” at #3

All accurate, except maybe Texas. Replace it with Yale, Cornell, or Georgetown.

God damnn it! UVA always outshines W&M in everything! :)

Ohio State is got to be the douchiest, or whatever other adjective there is to describe people who insist on saying and emphasizing the word “The” before the school name.

“Thee” Ohio State University = lame

Watch any college football game of theirs and see what I’m talking about…

The (d0uchiest) University. New window stickers on sale now in Charlottesville. Probably will sell better in Blacksburg.

Its still funny!

I’m an out of state-er thinking about UVA. What exactly makes it “douchy” or an unenjoyable student experience in general?

Its a love it/hate it type school. Secret societies, ties/dresses at football games, “Grounds,The University,Mr Jefferson,Firstyear…”, Rugby Road. You either think its really cool and unique or incredibly pretentious or “douchy”. You make the call.

UVa douchy> Duke

Brown? seriously? Whoever did the rankings should have explained how they came to their conclusion. What’s the criteria?

You would know if you had read the thread before posting. See post #24.

lol @ Knownasnoni for taking this thing seriously.

Is it just me or does calling a university douchy only seem to increase its appeal? :P

just you. Always a kernel of truth in any joke. Thats what makes it funny.

Seriously - what is it about Duke? I’m yet to meet an alum who wouldn’t qualify for every stereotype in this article.
