Can any accepted student reach out to me? I am an international student, got wait-listed. I applied without the SAT/ACT.
i got wait-listed, too. this is intense lol haha
Rejected. Congratulations to those accepted!!
Hi all, I got rejected and now I’m a sad bundle. It’s my third rejection. How do you get to know that you’re on a wait-list?
You get a separate letter. So instead of an acceptance or a rejection letter, you get a waitlist letter.
Does anybody know how often Amherst takes people from the transfer waitlist?
@ti36xpro I don’t know about Amherst specifically, but I would tell you that it’s probably close to zero. Any school that only has a few transfer spots available most likely won’t be pulling from the waitlist. From what I’ve seen, even schools that have over 100 spots for transfers (like Vanderbilt) rarely if ever use the transfer waitlist. I would treat the waitlist like a rejection tbh. That’s what I’m doing. The virus situation could change this whole scenario, but I think it will affect freshman admissions (and the freshman waitlist) a lot more than transfers. This is all just speculation, though.
@ti36xpro did you get in the waitlist?
I’m sorry to hear that @cheryllpatras I really understand how you feel. Keep your chin up, and don’t worry please. Take care of yourself and I am hoping you’ll hear good news soon!
@FABRICEV yes, I am on the waitlist
I got rejected from Connecticut too. 4th rejection :’(
Hi everyone. I got accepted! I know it’s been awhile since they announced decisions, but I’m still very much speechless. This is a privilege and an honor, and I’m very very grateful for this opportunity. I’ve yet to hear back from other schools, so we’ll see where this goes!
Hello, Congratulations! Since I am on the wait-list, it would be great for me to know about your success story. Could you please share with me your contact info?
Connecticut College, in my opinion, rejects applicants on the basis of financial need.
Feel free to DM me!

Impressive
Anyone have statistics about how many transfer applicants are typically accepted?
I’m surprised that decisions were made so soon. Usually the most selective colleges don’t rush out transfer decisions prior to the enrollment deadline for first-year applicants.
