@user_778131 I clicked on the financial aid portal tab on my application portal. And it just comes up with a generic page telling me the function of online financial aid system. At the right there is a log in section but it says in red “Sorry, that information isn’t available right now. Please contact the Financial Aid Office.” So basically I can’t log in to see my FA portal. I am randomly overthinking that it may mean that I am rejected and they just took away my FA portal since they don’t have to give me any news through it.
@EstherL Maybe you’re right! But don’t forget that Amherst is need-blind for international students, so finances don’t matter in decisions.
@user_77831 yes but one way or another acceptance rate for international student at Amherst is a mere 5% in comparison to the 10.8 general acceptance rate. And China is the most represented and competitive international body.
And there was a big picture of the campus on my application portal and now there isn’t! Is this a negative sign or it has been removed to put the status update at its place? There are so many things on which questions come up regarding our chances of admission lol.

will know within two hours. Gonna sleep now. Btw I’m also an international, and it’s almost 2 here rn. Decisions come out around 4 here, so I’ll check it in the morning.

My theory: The picture not being there means it will be replaced by a congratulations OR rejection banner. only one of those.
And does everyone have a myAmherst account? More ppl need to show they do or don’t have it to see if it means anything
