<p>When I visited Miami a couple weeks ago with my daughter I thought about the potential AMTRAK stop. I thought again about it when a similar issue arose in Illinois. CN Railroad was refusing to run additional AMTRAK passenger trains over a lucrative freight line. Those trains would have served a couple college towns in Illinois. U.S. Senator Dick Durbin got involved and brought the issue to resolution quickly. Because the Miami stop will primarily serve non-Ohio kids, it may be necessary to get Illinois and Indiana Congressmen and Senators involved who have the clout to make something happen.</p>
