aum my sat was very high- higher than W&L average…

and in my school- the “uva rejects or waitlisted” candidates chose W& L- there were two…

its hard to agree but W&L is just a refuge for the rich preppy kids who cant make it through the competition of the ivies+duke, and top public elites like uva and UNC

AW yes the old Apocryphal tale used in conjunction with some sort of put down. Very Silly.

how about just writing the novel about being a rich preppy kid? don’t forget to throw in the angst about inherited wealth, hating the parents for being successful, etc. it could be a great comedy.

as for dio–i’ve looked at other postings and it seems that both a parent and a child are using it making consistency confusing (we’ve done it here and it does make for some interesting conflicts).

i have to say a few things that have previously been posted/mentioned. if you’re coming to this school don’t buy the sheets that fit the bed–any xl will do. don’t do the microwave and fridge thing. you can buy it cheaper at walmart and get a NEW micro and fridge. i am really ticked off at the condition of the crap–yes crap–put in my kid’s room. i’m still waiting on the vendor to replace it (it will NEVER happen) but i’ll be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and at least get some venting that way. other than those two items, life is very, very ,very good. what a great school.
