Well, that was easy. I’m already finished with Whose Body?, so on to And Then There Were None.
This duet is fun (and easy).

Do not waste your time on the Amazon Kindle copy, it’s full of formatting errors. I couldn’t seem to figure out how to get the free version anywhere but on my lap top which is not great for reading books.
@mathmom The Kindle copy of which book has formatting errors?
Oh sorry, it’s the Agatha Christie, the other one is fine.
I guess it’s time to read them! I have my very old copy of the Agatha Christie per my post #11, and was able to get Whose Body as an ebook from the library.
I zipped through Whose Body on the Kindle, and have ordered a used paperback for And then there were none. If it takes to long to get here, I’ll read it on my lap top.
I agree with @mathmom. I got it free from Amazon for my Kindle and it’s totally weird. I read it anyway, but then ordered a used paperback edition from Amazon. Much better. Also, it’s the sort of book that you want to keep referencing earlier passages, so I found the paperback version essential.
Can’t wait for our June discussion. Fascinating novels!
Just finished “ And the. There Were None” …page turner
Fun to Re read both of these books. It was so many years before. Not satisfied with last death in Then there were…
I found a topical reference to a measure to combat pandemic disease, in Whose Body?
Well darn. “And Then There Were None” applies to more than just the title of the book. I thought I’d be able to grab my copy today via library curbside pickup, starting today. The book has been waiting for me. Unfortunately, over the weekend, my library system cancelled curbside pickup - indefinitely - along with anything else that can’t be accessed online. I’m left with no eAudio or eBooks available at the moment, and warnings re the Kindle addition. I’m reduced to @Mary13’s above link and reading it on my laptop, which I didn’t want to do. Darn pandemic.
The Kindle edition is manageable, just annoying.
@ignatius, at least it’s a really quick read!
@ignatius The audio version Mary13 linked is fine. It is slow, but luckily the book isn’t too long.
In case this happens to anyone else:
I checked out the kindle version of And Then There Were None from my local library.
I read the last sentence of the book – or what appeared to be the last sentence, since the next page began a lengthy excerpt from Death on the Nile. No spoilers, but let’s just say I was a little perplexed by the ending of And Then There Were None – until I discovered that the book continued AFTER the excerpt from Death on the Nile. Glad I flipped to the very end!
I finished Whose Body yesterday. I had actually started it a while back and stopped partway through, not really liking it all that much. But after finishing, it had grown on me and I understood why it was paired with that Agatha Christie book in particular.
Luckily I have my old paperback of the Christie so no reading issues. From what I’ve read, there have been minor adjustments to it over the years.
Please bear with me - I just need to vent. I had assumed that since I reread both authors regularly, I have both the books. Today, I searched all the bookcases in the house (and there are around 12 of them) and wasn’t able to find * Whose Body?* anywhere or any of the Sayers books except for *The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club/i. I was mystified until DH told me that a visiting family member had ‘borrowed’ the collection last year when I was traveling!!! I’m mad because this person has a history of losing books after ‘borrowing’.
With the library and my favorite used bookstore being closed, I have no option but to read the online version. I really, really want my physical book! I shouldn’t have waited till the last minute to read…
Also noted that my 2 copies of the AC book are the ones with the two bad titles. A sad comment on me in my younger days that I accepted that without question.
Some good came out of my fruitless search! I found the paperback copy of * Middlemarch*! That should help tremendously as I wasn’t making any progress with the omnibus.
I hate people who borrow books and never return them!! In my current mood, I want to suggest that you call that person and tell them you need the books back asap!
My SIL once tried to argue with me that a book I found in her bookcase was hers, until we opened the cover and she’d written my name in the front cover. It had been on her shelves so long the spine was completely faded. But mostly we are actually quite good about returning books to each other so no hard feelings!
