Both very sad and both will be missed.
I heard yesterday that the driver had 9 license suspension. Why in the world did he still have a job driving?
I don’t usually have such a visceral reaction when a news person dies, but I did with Bob Simon. I have enjoyed listening to him for years…I found him to be honest, forthright, respectful and quite interesting. I feel so bad for such a terrible tragedy to have happened to him and his family. I, too, will miss him. I feel bad for Scott Pelley too…I know how close they must have worked together on 60 minutes. Very sad. I wasn’t familiar with David Carr, but so young, oy. I missed the new attack in Europe…don’t get me started on that one! 
World leaders need to get way tougher. This is a much different world today, unfortunately, than just a few years ago. Security, protection and laws need to be stepped up. Not even sure if that would make a difference, but we do need very tough leaders all over as a start.
