<p>I’m from a large city too 
but still would avoid Utica. I’ve spent more time than I like to remember in the train and bus stations there in the past, and found the place equally depressing on a recent visit. There are some charming places in upstate NY. If Curmudgeon stays there, he should post a report!</p>
