Annenberg?

Check out my posts on some of these other threads. A bunch of other people have been curious about the journalism ciriculum.

The career office at Annenberg is very well connected to Southern California and should be able to help you with a job. However, a lot of broadcast majors find entry level jobs in smaller markets and have to move away from L.A.

The “training” is very immersive and more thorough than theory-based programs at other schools. Broadcast majors typically end up doing work for [USC Annenberg TV News](http://www.atvn.org/) or [USC Annenberg Radio News](<a href=“USC Annenberg Radio News |”>http://annenbergradio.org/) , both of which are entirely student produced and give great hands on experience. The anchor slots at both programs are by audition only, but the other positions are open to anyone.

Other people here may have opinions on the air quality, but I don’t think it’s a huge problem. It definitely isn’t has fresh as the Pacific Northwest and there will be days when the smog or wildfire smoke makes it a good idea to stay inside. Once you are here, few people seem to complain. Unless you have grave respiratory problems, I wouldn’t let the air quality influence your decision.
