announcing EA decisions?

damn it seems like they send their decisions by post. i am an international so it seems that i may have to wait a long time to get my decision.

So I recieved my letter today…very happy…i was ready for rejection since my stats were really bad… but I got in giving hope to just above average students…lol

Congratulations–still waiting here, hopefully it will be in the mail today!

thanks I live in Long Island, New York…and the letter was posted 12/11 dont lose hope

nothing in our mail…

Not in our mail today. We’ll see about tomorrow. This gets so stressful–we are waiting for three early notifications. But if Long Island just got theirs and Kansas City hasn’t gotten theirs, I think I may be waiting a few days…

got an email from WPI telling me to wait another 48-72 hours to get my decision. they will send an email of the decision as well the letter by post since i am an international.

got the email a couple of hours back. accepted!!! i got the presidential scholarship too!!! now i have to wait a month or so longer for them to complete evaluating my financial aid application. the nervousness doesn’t stop!!!

got our letter here today! He’s in! The only problem being, the more he gets accepted to the harder the decision!

Our letter came today too. He’s in!! One down, five to go.

I got the merit scholarship letter today. $9,000 per year for 4 years, which is extremely tempting.

My son got his merit letter yesterday: $5,000 per year for 4 years; makes it pretty pricey!!

I think that’s just a merit scholarship though, completely free money as long as you keep your grades up. That doesn’t count need based aid, which I believe comes next year.

$21,000 a year without applying for financial aid yet.

congrats graduation08 - i think u got the presidential scholarship right?

congrats to you too aktiv8d! are you definitely going to wpi? it is the one school that I havent visited before applying.

do not know if i am definitely going to WPI - I have applied to a few other places. However those places are ridiculously difficult to get into so it is very likely that WPI will be my only acceptance. Being an international I haven’t been to WPI or any other school for that matter but from all that I have seen and read about it I would be pretty happy to go to WPI.

After a long series of complications, I was finally able to receive my decision today. I got in and I’m relieved. I’ll most likely attend, but will still wait for my regular decisions to come out. Hurray for WPI!

I got a big envelope that was gray with a maroon border. Collegemom, I got a password for admitted students, too but I didn’t see a log-in anywhere and so I haven’t really looked at it. If you don’t mind, where else did your son apply?

graduation08, could you also post your stats so I can gauge merit scholarship? Thanks
