KG5APR: Nobody here was trying to be mean to you. You asked what were your chances and you got responses. There are many people who would probably do quite well that get rejected by MIT. Just not enough spots for all of them. So, MIT is looking for students who REALLY stand out. You sound like you’ve done well but either you could have done better or you didn’t “package” yourself correctly. After all, it is to a great extent the “written you” that is either accepted or rejected by MIT.
Go to another great school, do well there and you’ll be successful in life; which is the ultimate goal.
