Right, I was using the broad definition of successful, which would also include “happy”. For me, if I am not successful at something I care about, I’m not happy. And again, there are many shades of “successful”.
For example: My icon is actually a picture of me playing goal in ice hockey. If I have a good night, i.e. successful, then I’m in a good mood. Play poorly (i.e. unsuccessful) and I will not be such a happy camper. However, I’ll still enjoy that post game liquid refreshment in the locker room with my teammates and have a smile on my face because just being in the game is a success story in itself…
Anyways, there are lots of good colleges out there where the OP can get a good engineering education and be successful, happy, feel loved and appreciated and have a wonderful life.
