Yes, your requiring aid will definitely hurt your chances, especially during this financial crisis (though I don’t know how much Carleton has been affected by it). As you may know, Carleton offers 6 full scholarships and 6 partial scholarships. So, that makes 12 scholarships to international students. Needless to say, it is extremely difficult to get in when you ask for aid. But one thing you have in your favor is that the Star scholarship (the largest source of funding for international students) is given only to Asian students. With all said, you can certainly be one of the top six applicants among those who apply for admission and aid.</p>
