<p>Yes. You can take Pre-calculus as a junior and then take Calculus BC as a senior. Of course, the Calculus BC course at your school may assume you already have AB knowledge. If that’s the case, you’d have to do independent work learning the AB material on your own to catch up. However, if your school offers an AB/BC course–covering all the material in one year–that would be your best option and you could take that in your senior year.</p>

<p>Otherwise, you could take AB calculus as a senior but sign up for the BC test instead, and self-study the BC material (about 60% of the BC test is AB material, so it’s not a massive undertaking) on your own (or through some college course or online class) during the school year.</p>
