<p>Theres something similar to this on UCSDs own website; however, I don’t think those amounts match up. Also, I dont think the half or non rule is real either. Admissions can play with the numbers as much as it wants. They only have those as their max limits for how much they can hand out over one issue.</p>

<p>So ya, that Geocities is wrong with its numbers in that they pull some of those out of thin air. SD Admissions are also free to give whatever they want of the possible max points. They will rarely give the max points as well. Basically, if you’re not over 7500 with GPA + SAT, you’re hoping Admissions Office will reward as much as possible in your favour.</p>
<p>And just to make it clear for others who check this later, SAT points now are:
(SAT I + SATII Highest Score + SAT II 2nd Highest Score) * 0.8</p>
