Interesting comments on the Hoka insoles. I use both of the insoles that come in the package, one on top of the other. It works for me. The Cliftons fit me perfectly and I have a two pairs of the Clifton 1 and one pair of the Clifton 2 that I rotate. I honestly don’t see any major differences between the two different models, although I notice in the reviews lots of people do.
I’ve never seen the Clifton on 6PM and the other Hokas are too narrow in the forefoot. Bummer.
I also didn’t see a huge difference with the Clifton 2s, although I think they are better in the upper. Some of my running friends acted like the shoe was ruined.
Sometimes, it looks like the only change is a change in the fabric which makes the uppers less or more breathable. This would be discoverable only if you go for a 10+ mile run on a hot summer day.
My Hokas aren’t Stinson Trail but Kailua Trail. They aren’t my favorites, but the sole wear is good. I have a pair of Stinson 3s in the box waiting for something to be retired.
