I used to take medicine for anxiety problem. What I’ve learned is to eat less sugar or follow a low sugar diet and my anxiety problem seems to be non-existent. You might want to try eating less sugar.

faithfirst, this is probably going to sound silly but when I am stressed out at work i will get out a box of crayons and spend my lunch break coloring out of one of the many coloring books I keep stored in my desk. You would be amazed how calming it is to sit there and color a picture.
I even organized a team wide coloring contest one time and displayed all the pictures on my desk. We had a vote and the winner got a $5 gift card. :)

ambiebambie120, it’s obvious from your 8 posts that you’re only on this website to promote your amway products and other nutritional supplements. Please go away…

fendergirl - try to find a coloring book of mandelas. It is an amazingly calming process and it is supposed to “re center” you. Look in the New Age section of your book store. Actually the whole “mandela” thing is quite interesting. (my niece is going to grad school for alternative medicine/holist healing and they use mandela coloring for stress relief.

By certain age we all should have an idea what is relaxing for us. Each person is unique. Asking others will not help. I have to exercise every day. I also have a hobby, very soothing. I am definitely going into depression mode when I am unemployed (been there 8 times), got to work full time. Some people simply like to read (lucky - cheapest entertainment). You also got to know when to stop with whatever making you feel anxious and switch to something else. Some people prefer to be connected 100% of the time, it would drive me nuts, my cell stays in my car. You got to know yourself and go with it. I got to be busy all the time swithching activities, others like to be in front of TV. As long as it works for you, everything is OK. But nobody can tell you what will work, got to try, sometine you have to try many things until you discover what works.
