so his act is really good, I think that obviously a major jaw surgery is going to be a significant setback. I do know that there are a bunch of scholarships that look specifically at how high your scores are. I think that it really just depends on where he wants to go. he can apply to these score specific scholarships, and others that require essay writing, but I think that if his essay is really really good, his GPA should be supplemented.
