Love reading about Burning Man and burners. 60,000 people attended and susan Saradon an attendee for many years, took some of Timothy leary’s ashes this year, and in quite a procession, through a huge cathedral, sprinkled those ashes. Mad Max for sure.
My sil’s brother has been going for years and years. DH and I always feel quite envious, though I don’t think we’d actually enjoy it if we ever did go. He’s part of the Brooklyn “Maker” scene. Was in tech before. Was a dance for a while before that. Always a free spirit.
My niece and her boyfriend tend to go to Burning Man. They missed it this year because they hiked the Pacific Coast Trail. She is definitely a free spirit type.
My nephew and his girlfriend (now fiancee) have been hiking the PCT too. 
but I don’t think they are Burning Man types.
