There aren’t many schools that have advertised guaranteed scholarships like UA. However, you will be given scholarships at some schools, they just aren’t guaranteed.
University of Texas at Dallas used to give automatic full tuition scholarships for a 32 on the ACT. It’s no longer guaranteed full tuition. However, it appears that they are still giving full tuition scholarships for many people with scores in the same range as the formerly automatic scholarship.
However, since you don’t want to go to Alabama because of travel considerations, I doubt you’ll consider a school even farther away. Though it is closer to the airport.
