Any creative fundraising ideas?

Service auction: members of the organization offer services, such as 4 hours of yard work (in teams), dog walking, etc. For many years I “bought” four members of the football team for a day to do my fall yard work. You can either auction to highest bidder or just let the community know that people can be hired for x amount for the day. I recommend having them work in teams so that creepy community members aren’t a problem.

Oh yes - we did that too for a church thing^^^^ Good point about working in groups.

One fund raiser I do not recommend is one our ex church youth group leader did - some weird thing with someone paysyou and they take a goat to someones house and they have to pay to get rid of it or something. The kids thought it was fun but I think it p*ssed people off more than anything else.

I get so sick of having to buy stuff. The best fundraiser I was ever involved in (for the school’s Learning Garden) we put together a small booklet of gardening advice and then had acknowledgements at the back. We sent home envelopes in the kids’ back packs and said anyone who gave us $1 would have their name in the back of the booklet. Nearly everyone in the school participated and lots of people gave much, much more.

Please use old threads for research only. Closing.
