SW airlines had a cute baggage fee annoucement.
How about a plate of toothpaste filled “Oreos” in the lunchroom? Glad I don’t eat Oreos. I heard the filling was mint flavored!!!
12yo tried to do this one that she found on the internet: Supposed to be a chocolate egg. But you use a real (raw) egg and cover it in chocolate, and then the person bites into it and. . .
D had trouble coating the egg with the melted chocolate. She needed to heat up the chocolate to re-melt it, I guess, but the partially coated egg was in the bowl with the chocolate. So she put it in the microwave to heat it up and exploded the egg. (April Fool? April Stupid! I would’ve been able to prevent this mess if I hadn’t been dealing with the bank fraud situation. . .)
Youngest D reported that her classmate said to the teacher, “I made you some brownies!”–and then gave him a couple of “brown E’s” cut out of construction paper.
You’ve had your hands full, atomom!
A friend’s babysitter put stick-on googly eyes on everything in her refrigerator;
another friend filled her candy bowl with a mixture of M&Ms, Skittles, and Reese’s Pieces - she said she loved the facial expressions after her guests put small handfuls in their mouths.
One of my teachers told us that he would leave our school after teaching for almost a decade for a better paying job. His story was believable because he managed to get the teacher next door to play along. Tears were shed…
I was wondering and hoping that this was an April Fool’s joke:

As if all the beards weren’t enough!
I got sucked in by NPR’s exploding maple tree hoax a few years ago. I was driving around, never got to hear the end, and believed it for days!

A friend’s D called crying that she couldn’t graduate on time this May because she was missing a class and her advisor missed it until now. Her mother lamented because the state deadline for FAFSA had ended, apartment had been leased, etc. She let her go for about an hour (which is just a bit too long). Guess she knew the exact button to push with her mom.
