Well, considering they have said that the decision will not be made until late 2018, this is clearly not the second hq. Come on, people.
They forgot to point out that state-of-the art underground parking structure! ![]()
I saw an article today that definitely gave the impression that Amazon had narrowed the field down to 25, but the story was actually that an independent analytical firm - using data! - had ranked the various cities and came up with their own top 25. The top 3 were New York City, Washington D.C, and San Francisco. Made me laugh! Their scientific, data driven rating still required a lot of subjectivity. Sure, great transportation system in NYC - how bout those airports? And I seriously doubt Amazon is going to put their second major HQ on the same coast as their first HQ. They could both get wiped out by the same natural disaster.
Westchester or southern CT
Any natural disaster that could take out Seattle and San Diego at the same time would most likely end life on earth as we know it.
"And SAN DIEGO, CA wins the bid!!! Congrats SoCal!!

“Chicago Times News the most trusted news source for people who completely lack fact-checking skills or sound intuition. This site is for entertainment purposes only and the information here may be entirely made-up, true, or satirical.”
Hahaha, thanks for that, Defensor. I looked for similar but missed it right there on the page.
So, that Chicago Times is trying to mimic The Onion.
I saw this today.
That’s a nice graphic - gives a capsule summary of the major contenders.
My guess is Atlanta.
found this site with betting odds on new HQ pick - http://www.paddypower.com/bet?action=go_type&category=SPECIALS&disp_cat_id=&ev_class_id=45&ev_type_id=22711

Lots of buzz on Boston news channels today. Folks think a hint has been dropped.
I still think it’s going to be in Atlanta.
Word on the street is its Atlanta
Austin
NPR had a piece on working for Amazon on last week. Sounded like if you are an engineer, you work 24/7 for about 5 years, take a year off to travel, and then go to microsoft. Many other employees are hired seasonally or part time so that there are no benefits paid.
Glad we aren’t really being considered any more.
@twoinanddone A corporate headquarters does not function the same a s a call center or warehouse.
They’re looking to lease 500,000 square feet in Boston’s Seaport district. That’s the same amount that they plan on building for phase one of the HQ project. Coincidence?
