Any idea how to send money from Singapore to US, Inexpensively?

Yes, why does someone need to send money?

@Madison.
If you read the articles from googling scams in Singapore, most stated that the Singaporeans are being scammed, not that the scams originated in Singapore.

I am constantly amused by the fact that so many people think the worst of foreigners.

@1214mom, yes there will be charges to wire(from originating bank) and charges for currency conversion.I received a check in US currency from someone overseas and there was a $40 charge when I deposited into my bank. My bank said the charge came from originating bank.

It may be that the cost is higher for a higher dollar amount. I got about $150 for a $5 conversion fee. The conversion was done in the US, by my bank’s interface center, after receiving GBP.

This is one reason why it’s good to talk with your own bankers. Get it done the way they need it.

OP here. No scam… Just trying to transfer money cheaply so one person doesn’t have to hold a fair amount of cash, because mom (me) says carrying cash is a bad idea. We are talking about less than $1500, between friends. But they are young, and i don’t want either of them taken advantage of, or to have to pay a lot in fees, if we can help it.
Thanks everyone
