Are there any military transfer students here that may give me some insight regarding my chances? I have roughly 4 months left in the service and I’ll probably accumulate around 45 credit hours upon my separation from a local CC in Oklahoma City, not including the credit hours I received from the Air Force which is about an additional 30 somewhat credit hours.

Will I be able to apply as a transfer student for fall 2009? I will be applying for letters, arts, and science department and I’m wondering how much credit hours USC is willing accept to accept. Thanks

molamann (first, thanks for your service)- I’m sorry I don’t know much details about transferring (even though I was a USC transfer many years ago!) But I didn’t want your post to go unanswered.

You can try to look for your school and see if anyone else transferred.

This is from Tulane (where I’m from) and all lower level ROTC courses do transfer, but specific 3/400 level classes do not. If it’s actual air force experience, it might not, depending on the context.

Hmm, so if I miss the Fall 09 deadline, will I be able to apply for Spring 09 semester? Far as credit transfer, this is something I can figure out with a counselor right? Or are there so many students to deal with that it’s impossible to get a 1v1 session with a counselor?

USC doesn’t take Spring applications. They do have students who enter in Spring, but they are applicants from the Fall application pool who USC really wanted to admit, but did not have room for in the Fall semester.
