<p>Dear tribegirl09 : On the acceptance letters that came for both my current senior and sophomore students at Boston College, there were personal notes from the admissions readers specifically commenting about their essays and overall application quality. </p>
<p>In particular, the letter written to my now-senior was approximately a half-page hand written note; the personal touch, mentioning very specific elements from the older’s application, demonstrated not only the import of the essay, but also a commitment by BC to review the whole application.</p>
