Nothing yet in Western NY…frustrated… although AU is definitely a financial reach!

I’m western NY too!! Still waiting…good luck.

Nothing…noo e-mail nor snail mail…3.5GPA in PA top Private school in state…

My theory is they notified everyone they’re giving a merit scholarship first. Sound valid?

I have yet to hear anything from American University.
I never even received the “Hey, We Got Your Application” postcard.
No email, no letter.
Last Name M; Minneapolis, MN

expiredspork, I would call the admissions office.

Good friend got accepted no merit. 3.78UW 30ACT lots of EC’s, top private school. So merit people first: not in her case.

Are these via snailmail or online acceptances? And I’m assuming that these are RD, and not EA or ED acceptances - (it being March and all).

I just called American about the status of my app, and they said they usually wait at least 6 weeks before giving out a decision. I applied as a transfer student and apparently it’s only been 4 weeks so I have to wait 2 more weeks. Does anyone know if this is really true, or if it has happened to anyone else?

Acceptances are usually sent snail mail to your house.

This is strange: My S got the blue packet over the weekend - he’s in, but the fin aid offer was mostly loans. But his TWIN SISTER has heard nothing, though her stats are a cut above his! We’re Eastern Mass public high school…go figure!

that’s so odd. I’m a triplet but im graduating a year early… It must be so hard having two kids applying to colleges at the same time! i feel bad for my parents next year!

My s has not heard either but several of his friends have (although not all)…we’re in CT…last names: S (ours), and J (friends’). I called AU admissions yesterday. They told me a batch of letters went out last week, 2nd batch this week, and third (and last) batch will go out next week. I haven’t heard about any rejections yet…all acceptances thus far. Interesting, though that non have been reported.

Good luck to all!

Thanks lyricmom. I called admissions today too, but I didn’t get that information. I guess I’m not very assertive on the phone lol.
Thank you!
